My parents are quite silly. We went to Arroyo Grande for a Strawberry festivle that was going on. Mom saw people walking around drinking out of Pineapples. She HAD to have one. They were serving strawberry smoothies in them. Boy was it tasty. For the rest of the evening Mom wanted to drink all of her beverages out of "Piney" (that's what she named her pineapple) see...told you my parents are silly. We all had a great day and an amazing BBQ dinner. Lots of laughs and great fun.

On Saturday evening we had a "Santa Maria style BBQ" and while the BBQ was hot and the chicken and pork ribs were cooking Mom had out the camera in Uncle and Auntie's BEAUTIFUL back yard and got quite a few great photos of me.

This past weekend Mom, Dad and I got the heck out of dodge and went up to Santa Maria to visit my Great Uncle Sam and Great Aunt Mona.

While we were there Mom and Dad got an afternoon to go out and about and I stayed with Auntie and Uncle. Mom and Dad went around to a few local winery and said it was a BEAUTIFUL day. I didn't even miss them one bit.

Mom and I flew to Dallas last weekend to meet my Great Grandma Ekdahl for the first time. Mom calls her "Nana." She didn't know that we were coming. So when we showed up in Mimi and Papa D's living room she was SHOCKED and excited to see us. Mimi had a birthday bash for Nana as well. She turned 75! Can you believe that? We took lots of pictures. One afternoon we took a trip over to Balboa Park and walked around. I LOVED IT! Well that was until Mom set me on this "art work" that was HOT and almost burned my little tushy off. Next time I will make mom touch it and see how hot (or not) it is.

Okay so Mom thought she'd check on Dad and I "working" in the garage one afternoon, and she found me ontop of Dads car while he cleaned the windows. Too funny she thought.

Later that day (in just my diaper cause it was hot out) I was plaing inside the entertainment center with my ball.

Mom and Dad took some family pictures this Sunday. Mom wanted to make sure we had a family picture to frame from my 1st birthday. The last family picture was when I was 6 months old, and boy was that a LONG time ago. :)

Mom's friend Ms. Mary made this on her computer. I think it's pretty neat. Mom called this group of photos..."A year in the making." Thanks Ms. Mary I really like this.

I am so glad my Dad is back. The best part is...I've always got a playmate. This past Sunday while Mom was getting dressed and ready for Church dad and I were playing downstiars with my new dump truck I got for my birthday from the Knapp family. Mom of course HAD to stop and snap a few pictures. I'll tell you what. It is so much fun to ride in my new dump truck, I think I'll leaving the pushing up to Daddy from now on.

This was my "San Diego" party. Ya, I know I am a pretty special kid to have 3, yes 3 days to celebrate my 1st birthday. Man I got so much cool stuff. I don't even know what to do with it all. I am super excited that I got to share my special day with so many great friends, and their Mom's and Dad's. I do have to say that I sure do miss my buddies who's Mommies are visiting "home" while their Dad's are deployed. Here is a shout out to my man Miles, Elliot, Chandler, and to the lady of the group Ms. Madeline. Say hi to your Moms for me!
