We had a family photo shoot for my third birthday. Daddy and I had the best time playing while we had our photos taken.

Mom cannot figure out why these last two posts have pictures sideways. She edited them but for some reason they have a mind of their own to post sideways. These are the photos from seeing Daddies ship off.

We had to take Daddy to the ship very early one morning. Those are the mornings that I do not enjoy. It means that Daddy is going to be away for a good while. I gave Daddy one of my special snuggly bears to help him when he misses me. Mom and Dad were so proud. I gave Daddy many hugs, as many as I could. So did Mommy. I will miss you Daddy so very, very much. Stay safe out there Daddy. We miss you very much.

Here are a few photos of Daddy and I. These were from his last few days at home with us before his deployment. Daddy let me sleep in the sleeping bag he uses on the ship, and let me have both pieces of salmon nigiri. We usually share. Boy did I feel special.

We have such a silly family. Mom, Dad and I had a faux-to booth shoot. I thought we were all pretty funny and demanded to see the pictures of me right after we took them.

Our first family Easter together. The first Easter Daddy was deployed and my second Easter he was out to sea on an underway. Thankfully this year his ship was in AND he wasn't working either. How fun. We had a great time together.

This video is from the first day we knew that Aunite Dollie had a baby inside her. We had no idea if AUntie Dollie and Uncle Aaron were going to have a girl or a boy...but I suppose people should listen to little kids a bit more. We DO know what we are talking about.

So one morning after breakfast I decided to look through the pantry. Well look at what I found. The bag of wine corks that Mom and Dad have collected. Mom came in and asked what I was doing lining them all up. I told her these were the candles for my third birthday. This was taken in March.




I love having the back yard play space that we do at our new house. I love the nice warm days so that I can play in my water table. Today I was treated to a water table full of bubbles. Man Mommy is such a genius, she always knows just how to get me to behave...bubbles...


We have been spending extra special time together as a family. Daddy is/will be away again for quite some time. We love having special family movie nights together. This night I requested to have special snuggle time on the floor rather than curling up on the couch. It was so fun and yes, I did fall right to sleep about 20 min into the moving night.

When Daddy is home he puts me to bed and more often than not I put him to sleep. This night instead of falling to sleep laying beside me, he fell fast to sleep half off of my bed. How funny.


Wouldn't you know I love when Daddy BBQ's...he makes me corn on the cob and guess what? This night this was my SECOND ear that I ate all by my self. FUN!

Weeee....I am THREE! That is right ladies and gents, I little Carter Dane have reached my third birthday. Mom posted a photo from my first and second birthdays after my birthday hair cut. This year we were in Florida for my birthday and I went bowling for the first time and let me tell you...I LOVED IT. Mommy couldn't decide who was having more fun, Daddy or myself.

We must say sorry for our lack of posts the past few months. It's been quite a whirl wind. Although we are not slowing down right now, we are taking more time to let the family and friends we love and miss so much have some peeks into our life out here in super, sunny, San Diego.
